Hey boys and girls… I’m still in Kinabatangan river, I think on my Borneo trip 2010, Kinabatangan river gave me most of the impact of my travel… “ I Luv it!! ”
On our 3rd day we were working with the Elephant care unit under the KOCP, so they fetch us early morning in front of uncle Sam’s house by boat.. well most of our task is done via boating. So its so much fun as everyday life we travel by car bus or motorcycle.. but here is special as the boat pick us up every morning
The day started with wonderful sunshine and as it moved on, the direct heat from the sunlight was on to us, so we took shelter on the nearest wildlife centaury ground. Since we’re with the ECU, we could get on to the ground.. we had lunch and take a little nap because the elephant comes out for feeding during the evening time…
About 4pm we packed up our gear and set sail to the nearest giant grass, I think that's what they called it.. and we saw 1 elephant grazing so we docked in and got on to the land… So there they are. a group of 12/13 Borneo pigmy elephant….
Actually it was really scary for us, as Fabiene run’s and bang! on a huge branch in front of me, and for me… I was comfortably behind a huge tree.. lolz.. and in this 1 situations we were surrounded by 4 elephant.. I tell you… You don't want that to happen, I nearly poo my pants though.. lolz
there’s aint a lot of me in the photo because I was behind the camera and trying to figure out how to not get killed… cheersss
this is the big guy the surrounded us… thanks to him! I was quite scared, never felt that for quite a time…
